News from the Principal:

I am happy to report that Olympic Elementary 4-5th grade students did well on the Measurement of Student Progress. The following are State and Olympic Elementary student scores and reflect the percentage of students who met or exceeded grade level standards:

SUBJECT GRADE STATE OLYMPIC ELEMENTARY
Reading 4th Grade 72.4% 76.4%
5th Grade 72.6% 75.3%
Math 4th Grade 62.5% 76.4%
5th Grade 62.6% 65.8%
Writing 4th Grade 62.1% 74.3%
Science 5th Grade 66.5% 70.9%

Our instructional focus will continue to be rigorous. We will set aside at least 75 minutes of uninterrupted time for math and 60 -90 minutes for reading instruction. Writing and science will also be areas we will continue to dedicate time and focus.

Olympic Elementary staff is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment for all students. It is our desire to work closely with YOU to achieve maximum learning success for your child. I look forward to meeting with each of you in some way this school year. Please feel free to contact us at any time.
